Anganwadi (day care) centres are powerful spaces for social change. By building community spaces in bastis over the past years, we've come to realise the critical role they can play in the education, nutrition and health of children. We believe that improving the learning environment through design can significantly improve the quality of services at these centres.

So we compiled a #pocketbook on India's ICDS - Integrated Child Development Services - scheme under which these anganwadis are set up. We hope that this would help anyone interested in understanding the scheme to come up with policy and design strategies to build better anganwadis.
