Here’s a online learning module for university teachers on counter-mapping as a bottom-up tool in planning: https://gregoryrandolph.net/teaching which has been co-created by our founder Swati Janu with Gregory Randolph at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Through a collaborative engagement, it is available opensource (as a recorded lecture & teaching material) to anyone interested in using counter-cartography as a process/ strategy for participatory planning.

Countermapping is the making of maps that challenge dominant power structures. Hope students, architects, geographers and others find some of this helpful!
